Digital Room, Inc. and U-Printing Network, a digital printer and an early adopter of the web-to-print business model, purchased a highly automated Mitsubishi Diamond 3000S sheetfed press. The five-color, 40-inch press with aqueous coater will expand the offset capabilities at U-Printing’s production facility in Los Angeles.

Seattle, Washington-based RPI, an automated manufacturing and fulfillment for the consumer make-on-demand printed products market, announced it has closed on a financing round with Huntington Capital, a San Diego-based capital provider. RPI will use the additional funds to introduce new services and technologies, such as a managed merchandise program targeting the placement of new products, and to provide access to technology platforms that will provide new opportunities for brand owners in the personal creative expression market.

Today, the United States Senate will vote on whether to start debate on Senate bill 3628, the so-called "Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections Act" (DISCLOSE Act). The Small Business & Entrepreneurship (SBE) Council is opposed to the legislation and sent a letter (full text below) to all U.S. Senators urging a no vote on the bill. A similar bill already passed the U.S. House. The legislation protects the free speech rights of certain organizations while clamping down on others.

This applies to all North American customers and will include all MasterWorks CRB grades, including the News, Plus, Blister, Freeze, Lite and Beverage grades.
