Opening the Flood Gates

 
A few weeks ago, I attended the National Postal Forum at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, located in Nashville, Tenn. The traffic was steady and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Companies unveiled new technology in hopes of altering the direct mail landscape.

The hotel was absolutely stunning with its perfectly kept landscape and flowing waterfalls. I even managed to take a quick boat ride inside of the hotel. I was also able to literally get a taste of Tennessee at the Jack Daniels Saloon.

Imagine my shock when I turned on the news to hear of the past weekend's devastating floods. Even the Gaylord Opryland Hotel was affected as guests were moved to safety. My thoughts go out to the victims and residents of this lovely state.
